A local connection to the Peruvian Amazon
A journey built around people, place and responsibility
Into The Amazon began with a simple purpose: to help curious travellers approach the Iquitos region with local context, clear coordination and respect for the people who call the Amazon home.
We do not want to turn the forest into a generic product. We are building a small, personal experience in which the relationship with the place matters as much as the itinerary.
Where the journey begins
Iquitos, a river gateway to the Peruvian Amazon
Iquitos is the meeting and coordination point. The city has no road connection to the rest of Peru: visitors normally arrive by air and continue into the region by river and local routes. The final location and route are confirmed before each departure.

Local knowledge, clear communication
The project connects an Iquitos-based team with the international coordination a traveller needs before arrival.
Before the journey
We explain what to expect, review dates and help travellers understand how Iquitos fits into a wider Peru route.
In Iquitos
Local coordination begins with arrival, transport and the practical details that allow guests to move with confidence.
In the forest
Guides share knowledge of the river, plants and Amazonian life through their own experience of the territory.
After the return
Support continues until the traveller is back in Iquitos and clear about the next step of the journey.
What guides the project
Five straightforward commitments
Respect
People, cultures, plants and places are not decoration. They deserve context, dignity and careful representation.
Responsibility
We do not promise cures, visions or personal outcomes. We communicate limits and uncertainty.
Local recognition
Knowledge belongs to the people who have carried it. Local participation should be visible and fairly compensated.
Transparency
Travellers should know who receives them, what is included and which parts of the program are still being confirmed.
Personal choice
No one should feel pressured to participate in a practice or disclose a private experience.
Where we are now
Building carefully before selling
We are preparing the first journeys and verifying accommodation, transport, responsibilities and procedures. Into The Amazon is not yet operating as a licensed tour operator and is not accepting deposits or confirmed reservations.
We do welcome inquiries. They help us understand future travellers and answer honestly while the operating structure is completed.
