Is this a plant medicine retreat?
Yes — Into The Amazon includes traditional plant medicine ceremonies as part of a seven-day cultural and nature immersion. The program includes four ayahuasca ceremonies, one rapé ceremony and, subject to a separate safety protocol, a traditional kambo practice.
This is not a recreational experience, a party or a quick cure. It is a carefully facilitated journey grounded in Amazonian tradition.
Who can participate?
Participation is open to adults who meet the eligibility criteria established before each journey. Some health conditions and medications may make participation inappropriate.
Before confirming participation, guests are required to complete a health questionnaire and participate in a screening conversation. This is not a formality — it is a genuine safety step.
What is the price and what is included?
The planned price is USD 1,500 per person. This is subject to final confirmation.
Included in the price: seven-day program, six nights of accommodation, transportation to and from Iquitos, all meals, drinking water, guided jungle activities, plant baths, group and individual conversations, cultural encounter, and traditional practices for eligible participants.
Not included: international flights, accommodation in Iquitos before or after the program, travel insurance, vaccinations, personal purchases.
Is participation in the ceremonies compulsory?
No. Participation in any traditional practice is never automatic or compulsory. Each person’s eligibility must be assessed individually, and participants may decide not to take part at any stage.
The responsible team may also recommend that a participant postpone or skip a practice when safety requires it.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Cancellation and refund terms will be established by the formal organizer and communicated clearly before any deposit or payment is accepted.

What vaccinations are recommended?
We recommend consulting a travel medicine specialist at least six weeks before departure. Common recommendations for travel to the Peruvian Amazon include hepatitis A, typhoid, yellow fever vaccination and malaria prophylaxis. Into The Amazon does not provide medical advice — please consult a qualified doctor.
What is the group size?
The group size is small. The exact maximum number of participants will be confirmed before reservations open. A small group is intentional — it allows for personal attention, individual conversations with the practitioner, and a more grounded experience overall.
